Access & Hours
The library is open to all Charlotte School of Law faculty, staff, and students. It is also open to attorneys, law firms, legal departments, and government agencies that join the library as members. For more information on library membership, please click here.
The library is open, free of charge, to patrons from the general public who have a legitimate legal research need. Public patrons must show a state government photo ID and complete a form explaining their research need. Due to space and staff considerations, we must limit public patrons to one visit per week. During mid-term and final exam periods, the library will be closed to public patrons.
Students and faculty from Central Piedmont Community College and Johnson C. Smith University may use the library during public hours only, though they are not limited to one visit per week. Pre-law or paralegal students may obtain extended hours of access to the library if their participating school or program has paid the annual membership fee. See membership program for more details.
