Circulation Policy

Who can check out items from our collection?
Public patrons may only use the library materials on-site and may not borrow any circulating material.

CharlotteLaw attorney members and members of the Charlotte Area Law Librarians Association (CALLA) may borrow circulating material for 1 day.

CharlotteLaw visiting faculty may borrow any circulating material from the CharlotteLaw collection based on the following loan periods. Adjunct faculty have the same circulation privileges as full-time faculty.

Central Piedmont Community College and Johnson C. Smith patrons may check out up to 5 circulating monographs (i.e., materials tagged with a yellow dot) for a period of 28 days. One renewal is allowed.  For overdue items, the standard fines (as stated below) will apply.  Users must present a valid CPCC or JCSU ID in order to borrow materials.
