Summer Study Abroad

The world is becoming an increasingly smaller place, and legal practice today is more likely to involve an international component. Recognizing the growing importance of this international dimension, CharlotteLaw intends to develop a curriculum that promotes international and comparative perspectives. The School has already formed an "International Team" to help us track international and comparative developments and to seek mutual opportunities for cooperation and partnership with other law schools and international programs.

CharlotteLaw encourages students to participate in an international experience. While we do not currently offer any study abroad courses, in order to give our students maximum choice and flexibility, we maintain a list of summer abroad programs offered by other law schools, which are open to law students from multiple institutions. A CharlotteLaw student in good standing may, with the advance permission of the Dean of Academics, participate in a study abroad session at an ABA-accredited law school. Please see the Dean of Students for details.
